I am a long time lurker on Mehraba forums, and I finally registered on your beautiful website.
I tried to find a Turkish forum with understanding Turkish people, and I think I nailed it with this one!
I am a 23 years old male who just recently moved to New York. I'm sure most of you are from there as I'm told Turkish people are like fruit-flies over there! lol I'm not Turkish I'm actually Armenian.
I met quite a few Turkish people in my life, and I have always been welcomed as one of them. It wasn't too long until I got infatuated with some Turkish girls over in Europe. They are often beautiful, playful, and family oriented. I've had a couple of girlfriends, but none of them were serious enough to move the relationship further.
One big disadvantage to Europe, is that there isn't a big Turkish community there. Turkish people are dispersed throughout the continent.
I have a masters in Engineering from the Sorbonne, and I landed a job in New York. I'm currently living in here and I couldn't ask for more: I'm surrounded by Turks!
The food is great as it reminds me from home, the girls are pretty good too, but I still haven't approached anyone. How's the mentality here? Would an Turkish girl fall in love with a Armenian guy over here?
I've got the smarts, I'd say I'm average looking.... so I don't worry about those material things, I'm just wondering whether "Armenian" directly turns off girls here even if said Armenian is a progressive one?
I would want her to learn about the Armenian culture just as I would learn about the Turkish culture. Religion is not a problem since I'm an atheist.
